Le docteur Korczak, defenseur des droits de l'enfant et directeur d'un orphelinat pour des enfants juifs, entra dans la legende le 6 aout 1942 quand les SS l'obligerent a livrer les deux cents orphelins dont il avait la garde dans le ghetto de Varsovie...
